The Greene County High School baseball team went 1-1 on Saturday in Carroll at the Kuemper Catholic tournament against the two Carroll based teams. Coach Mark Sawhill’s team is now 7-14 after losing in five innings by the 10-run rule vs. Kuemper, 16-5, then winning 15-2 in seven innings vs. Carroll High.

Dylan Fouch took the pitching loss vs. Kuemper, allowing 15 earned runs in 1-1/3 innings. Ben Wilkins threw 2-2/3 innings and he gave up one run. Kuemper totaled 13 hits and was charged with two errors while the Rams had four hits and one error. Reid Lamoureux doubled for the only Greene County extra base hit. Branden Miller singled twice and drove in a run and Logan Lansman had a single and one RBI. Mac Adamson drew a bases loaded walk to drive in a run. Tom Gannon hit into tough luck with three line drives, and all three were caught.

Against Carroll, the Rams won by double figures for the second time in as many meetings this season.Logan Kohl went all seven innings in his first varsity pitching start. He gave up no earned runs on six hits and a walk, and Kohl struck out three batters. The offense put up 18 hits vs. the Tigers.The Rams hit their first triples of the season with Calvin Skalla getting a triple, two singles, and one RBI, and Lamoureux triple and singled and drove in one run. Chase Stoline doubled twice and singled twice, and Jordan Patterson had two singles and one RBI. Ben Bravard had two singles and two runs batted in. Dylan Fouch had a double and single, and Gannon collected two singles and drove in two. Wade Adcock drove in a run, and Austin Delp had a base hit and two RBI.

The Rams host North Polk (Alleman) on Monday at Allensworth Field on KG98 around 7:30 p.m.
