Rob SchultzThe trial date has been pushed back for the Jefferson Pizza Ranch owner, who is accused of setting his business on fire.

According to court documents, 53 year-old Robert Schultz Jr. of Ankeny, had his trial date delayed from August 23rd to September 27th. His pre-trial date is scheduled for September 12th.

Schultz has pled not guilty to a Class B Felony for first degree arson, a Class C Felony for first degree criminal mischief and a Class D Felony for insurance fraud.

The alleged incident occurred just after midnight on January 27th. The Jefferson Fire and Police departments determined that there were multiple points of origin throughout the restaurant that led them to believe the fire was intentionally set.

The investigation is ongoing at this time, with charges against additional suspects pending.
