A late Thursday afternoon downpour in Roland left water standing on the field, prompting school officials to cancel the 5:30 p.m. scheduled JV softball game between Greene County and Roland-Story. As of 4:30 p.m., the varsity game was still on for a 7:30 p.m. start as the grounds crew in Roland is working to get the water off and prepare the field for play.

Tonight’s varsity game is set to be broadcast on KG98 and streamed “live” on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Coverage starts at 7:10 p.m. The Rams are 15-13 and this is their last regular season game. The Norsemen are 10-16 and the Rams won the first meeting by a 4-1 score in Jefferson earlier this month.
