Victoria Hegstrom is back to being healthy again. The senior left fielder knocked in 6 runs last night including a grand slam as Perry breezed by Bondurant Farrar 10-0 in RRC action. The blast came in the top of the 6th inning to end the game early. Hegstrom delivered a 2-run single in the top of the 1st inning as well. Hegstrom has been nursing a knee injury the past three weeks which caused her to miss 10 days of action.
Perry connected for 15 hits on the night. Johanna Diw, Sidney Vancil, Rachel Kinney, Maddie West, Maddy Jans and Emma Olejniczak all finished with 2 hits. Olejniczak knocked in 2 runs with single RBI’s coming from Alyssa Kruger, and Kinney.
Olejniczak struck out 10 over 6 innings allowing only 2 hits and 3 walks.
Perry improves to 20-11 on the season and 4-9 in RRC action.
The Jayettes return home tonight for the RRC finale against Ballard
