Perry will be able to purchase safety vests for City employees thanks to a grant from the Iowa Communities Assurance Pool.

The property and casualty coverage provider announced a special initiative in celebration of their 30^th anniversary this year.  Cities were able to apply for funds for the purchase of select loss control or risk management items.  Perry submitted their application in March and was recently awarded a $1,000 grant.

The high visibility vests will be worn by all employees who are working around moving vehicles or equipment to help alert drivers of their presence.
