DemocraticLogoThe Greene County Democratic Party is holding a special nominating convention later this month.

According to the Greene County Auditor’s office, if there is no party candidate running for an office following the primary election, that the political party can hold a special convention and nominate individuals to be on the November general election ballot.

The local offices, in which there are no Democrat candidates, include County Supervisor districts one and five, County Auditor and County Sheriff. Democrat Todd Madson is running against Republican John Muir for County Supervisor District Four.

The convention will be held at 10am in the courtroom of the courthouse in Jefferson on Saturday, July 23rd. The public is invited to attend, although, only the delegates are allowed to vote.
