The second Scoop the Loop event of 2016 takes place tonight in Stuart.

Organizer Bob Cook says despite most of downtown being torn up for a major infrastructure project, he’s proud of how his team has adapted. “We know coming in, construction could alter what we had before. Once we get through 2016, I’m extremely optimistic, because we’ll have a brand-new downtown with the facade work being done, plus new streets, underground infrastructure, lighting and speakers on the light poles. Stuart will be the place to hold a downtown car event.”

Tonight’s car show features a deejay and refreshments. It takes place from 5-10 p.m. in downtown Stuart.
