The Adair County Fair is right around the corner and attendees this year will be able to experience a new grandstand event.
Organizer Lori Herr says the new addition will be enjoyed by anybody who likes guns and action. “We’re excited to have cowboy mounted shooting at the grandstand Friday night during the fair. For those of you who don’t know what this is, it’s a competitive sport involving the riding of a horse to negotiate a shooting pattern. The object of the sport is to shoot 10 balloon targets while riding through a challenging course. It’s a high speed and timed event, where the rider who gets through the course the fastest and misses the least amount of targets wins. For more information or to find out how to sign up for this event contact Bruce Travis at 641-344-4245.”
The Adair County Fair takes place Wednesday, July 20th- Sunday, July 24th.
