One person was hurt in a single vehicle rollover accident in Greene County Monday.
Sheriff Steve Haupert tells Raccoon Valley Radio that Churdan Fire and Rescue and the Greene County Sheriff’s office responded to the crash at 3:06pm on Highway 4 between 100th and 110th streets.
The driver, 31 year-old Jenny Lynne Harrison of Jefferson, was heading south on the highway when, for apparent medical reasons, she lost control of her vehicle, as it went onto the shoulder. She then overcorrected but stayed on her side of the road and the vehicle re-entered the shoulder, hit a fence of a nearby farm field and the vehicle rolled onto its top in the west ditch. She wasn’t wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident and the airbags didn’t deploy.
Harrison was taken to Greene County Medical Center by Churdan Rescue with apparent non-life threatening injuries.
The vehicle is considered to be a total loss.
