The Stuart Police Department has identified the person of interest from Monday night’s search.

Authorities are looking for Joshua Ervin Subbert,
who fled on foot from police in the 500 block of West Front Street. He is wanted on six different burglary and theft related charges from three counties. A second unnamed individual with Subbert at that location was found and interviewed — they may face criminal charges at a later date.

The Guthrie County Sheriff’s office provided a K9 for the search, that was suspended due to weather.

The Police Department doesn’t believe Subbert is dangerous or a threat to the public. They remind the public to remain inside during a K9 search.
