The Greene County Board of Supervisors met Monday in regular session.
The Board rescheduled the public hearing for drainage district 2 from August 1st to August 22nd at 9am, updating the county’s equal opportunity policy statement and a disabled veteran homestead tax credit application.
The Board also approved the County Treasurer’s investment report of $6,388,955.64 for June, issuing 212 driver’s licenses last month and the semi-annual report as presented.
County Engineer Wade Weiss gave an update to the Board. He said he is having a discussion with Webster County and the Department of Transportation about the possible transfer of jurisdiction of Highway 144, due to the closure of a DOT facility in Gowrie. He also told the Board that the secondary road crew will be hauling the rock for the Freedom Rock project to the grain bin on the county fairgrounds later this week.
