More accolades for the ADM Tiger softball team keeps rolling in, this time it will be head coach Rick Dillinger who will receive honors.

The Iowa High School Girls Athletic Union released their 2016 award winner for the Golden Plaque Award and it will be awarded to ADM’s very own Rick Dillinger. The Golden Plaque award honors an Iowa coach who has demonstrated a successful career while making notable contributions towards community, school, and the coaching profession.

Coach Dillinger recently completed his 40th season as a softball head coach. Along with coaching here at ADM Dillinger has coached at Danville and North Polk where he guided the Comets to 11 state tournament appearances and three state championships. During that 40 year span coach Dillinger has accumulated over 1,000 career victories with numerous awards along the way including coach of the year in 2011 from the Character Counts program. He is a member of the IGCA basketball and softball Hall Of Fame as well as the Upper Iowa University and National High School Athletic Coaches Association’s Hall of Fame. Coach Dillinger will be awarded with the Golden Plaque Award prior to the start of the class 4A state championship game on Friday, July 22nd.
