The heavy rains yesterday in the Fort Dodge area caused the postponement of a number of opening round state softball games including Perry’s first round game against 6th ranked Oskaloosa.  The Jayettes and Indians will play tonight at 7:30 at Rogers Complex.  Perry used the day to relax after finding out around noon that the games were called off.

“Our team has spent a lot of time together over the past week,” stated Kenney.  “I think the best thing for us right now is to hit the field and just start playing again.  The community has been great and it really has been a whirlwind of activities since we qualified for state.  I thought it was important for our kids to just sit back, relax and get some rest.  We’ll be ready to go Wednesday night.”

Perry will leave the high school at 4 pm today and the public is invited to stand along Willis and wish the Jayettes good luck as they leave town.

You can listen to tonight’s game on KDLS beginning at 7:10 pm.
