The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.
At the meeting, the Board approved payroll change notices for several departments.
Two property purchase agreements for the 200th Street culvert replacement project were approved as requested by the County Engineer. One is for 0.19 of an acre owned by Thomas Manning at a cost of $1,918 and the other is for a quarter of an acre owned by the Timothy T. Hughes Trust at a cost of $2,218. Engineer Al Miller says the project should be completed sometime in September or October.
The Supervisors then discussed space planning. Architect Jerry Purdy with Design Alliance says they’ve begun looking at the current jail in case a new law enforcement facility is built to see what would be done with that space. He says they’re considering adding additional courtroom space in that building but no action was taken.
The second and third change orders for the Edge Commercial portion of the north campus project were then approved in the amount of $2,597 and $1,221 respectively.
Additionally, Purdy says the emergency management project is moving forward at the north campus and an update meeting is scheduled to discuss progress today.
