The Perry Jayette softball team’s hope at bringing home a state championship this season were shattered Wednesday but the team still has a chance to do well in the tournament.
Oskaloosa defeated Perry 3-1 in the state quarterfinal game in Fort Dodge. The Jayettes can still finish as high as fifth place. They will face Creston Thursday at noon. The winner of the midday game will go on to play in the fifth place game at 4pm. If they lose at noon, Perry will play at 2pm for seventh place.
We will have the live play-by-play here on the Raccoon Valley Radio network with Shawn Kenney on AM 1310 KDLS, the new 99.7 FM, at RaccoonValleyRadio.com and via our mobile apps.
