A Grand Junction man was uninjured in a single vehicle rollover accident in Greene County Friday.

Sheriff Steve Haupert says at 11:09am, a deputy, Grand Junction Fire and Rescue and Greene County Emergency Medical Services responded to the accident on Highway 144, just south of Grand Junction.

Sixty-one year-old Joel Raymond Cody was traveling south on the highway in a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado that was hauling a trailer and lawn mower. Cody reported that his trailer began to sway, which caused him to lose control of his pickup. The truck entered in the west ditch and rolled onto its top. Two passerbys stopped to help free Cody who was trapped inside the pickup.

Haupert notes that Cody refused medical treatment and was uninjured. He was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident and no airbags deployed.

The truck and trailer were considered to be total losses.
