Two local organizations recently completed a study to identify the labor environment in Adair County.

Midwest Partnership and Iowa Workforce Development’s Regional Research Bureau teamed up to complete the Adair County Laborshed Project.

The study found that 78.3% of Adair County residents are employed, with over 21% working multiple jobs. The largest industry is manufacturing. The median hourly wage in Adair County is equivalent to just over $13/hr.
