Greene County High School baseball senior shortstop Reid Lamoureux has been named to the Iowa Baseball Coaches Association Class 3A West District second all-district team. Lamoureux batted above .500 for most of the season and was at a staggering .731 clip nearly halfway into the season before finishing with a .462 average. He had 14 runs batted in, five doubles, and one triple.

The IBCA named a first and second All-District team by position, so Lamoureux was chosen for the all-district honor over players from more successful programs. Glenwood junior Cole Loeffelbein batted .532 and was the first team shortstop in the West district, which covers a large part of the state and includes Class 3A State Champion Harlan. Seventeen players were chosen to both the first and second teams, but there was just one shortstop selected per honor unit.

Greene County had a record of 11 wins and 17 losses.
