The Grand River Rodeo is coming to the Greene County Fairgrounds this weekend.
Fair Board President Bob Allen says due to a rainout during the county fair in July, the rodeo was rescheduled to this Saturday at 7pm in the grandstands. He adds that sponsored and advanced tickets will be honored for the event that evening, along with free admission to 4-H’ers that wear this year’s county fair t-shirts.
Since the grandstand capacity is about 1,000 people, Allen makes a personal challenge to fill it again this year for the rodeo.
“I would like to put a challenge out there to all the KG98 listeners, let’s fill the stands this Saturday night. The weather is suppose to be nice and Grand River Rodeo always puts on a good show. It’s good fun, clean, family entertainment. So I would like to see the stands filled up again.”
Tickets are $10 per person or $5 for anyone under the age of five. Plus, Allen adds that there will be raffle tickets available at the admission office for a quarter beef, with proceeds to go to the beef barn project. Raffle tickets are $5 per ticket or $20 for five tickets.
