The Perry volleyball season is a little more than 48 hours away as the Jayettes welcome Ft Dodge St Edmond Thursday night to the Sports Pavilion.  The night will mark the beginning of a new year for senior Maddie West.  The experienced Jayette was a key part of both basketball and softball during her junior year campaign.  The quiet leader is excited to begin her senior campaign.

“We really had a good summer of volleyball,” West smiled.  “I think our team is coming together quite nicely and everybody is excited to contribute and handle their role.”

Like the rest of her teammates, West has high hopes for the upcoming season.

“I really can’t wait for the start of the season.  I think we might surprise some people.  The team is getting along really well and we enjoy playing with one another.”
