A deputy was dispatched to the 1700 block of Quaker Avenue for a reported car deer accident. A vehicle being driven by Travis Christopher Fincel 41, of Grand Junction, was northbound on Quaker Avenue when a deer ran onto the roadway and was struck by Fincel’s 2006 Chevrolet Suburban. Travis Fincel was not injured but his Suburban sustained an estimated $10,000 in damages.

A deputy assisted the driver of a straight truck that became disabled on Highway 144 north of 120th Street. The deputy provided traffic control until the truck could be removed from the traveled portion of the roadway.

A deputy was dispatched to 209 Main in Paton for a male subject that wanted to voluntarily turn himself in on multiple outstanding warrants from other counties.

A deputy located two male subjects that were skateboarding and impeding traffic on Highway 4 at the golf course hill, south of Jefferson. The two young men were advised that skateboarding on a major highway was not one of their better ideas.

A deputy was dispatched for a business alarm activation at 209 Main in Paton. The building was found to be secure.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
