Perry will start the season without senior Grace Marburger who continues to recover from a broken finger.
The Perry high school volleyball team will look to carry the passion and energy of their head coach into the season opener tonight when they take on the Gaels of Ft Dodge St Edmond in a 7:00 varsity match at the Perry Sports Pavilion.  Kristel Kautzky-Schultz is hoping her high energy, positive approach will carry over to her team tonight as the Jayettes get set to begin a new season without their injured star Grace Marburger.

“I love to have a noisy court,” smiled the young Jayette coach.  “I try to bring the same energy, enthusiasm and passion to each and every practice.  I want our kids to share that passion on the court and build a sense of community on the volleyball court and in the gym.  This year we are all about focusing on team and the characteristics of a good team mate.  We have talked about those traits and what makes a good team mate.  The ability to pump up the team and your team mates is a great quality to have.”

Perry will host St Edmond tonight before traveling to Bondurant on Saturday for a full day of stiff competition.
