With a new school year underway, Greene County FFA is holding an informational meeting next week.

Anyone interested in learning more about the local FFA chapter and joining the program is encouraged to attend the meeting. FFA Advisor Katie Akers says FFA is an opportunity for students to meet other students from around Iowa and challenge their skills in competitions, while learning outside of the classroom. They will also discuss upcoming events and activities for the year, taking membership dues and placing orders for t-shirts and apparel.

This year’s FFA officers include Mason Burkett as president, Taylor Wessling as vice-president, secretary is Abby Badger, Gwen Black is treasurer, Brian Rasmussen is reporter, the sentinel is Chase Stoline and officers at-large are Dylan Fouch and Katelynn McDowell.

The meeting is open to all interested families at 6pm on Tuesday at the Greene County High School cafeteria. A light supper will be served before the meeting begins. No pre-registration is necessary.
