The Greene County Sheriff’s office arrested two individuals over the weekend from an ongoing investigation.

Sheriff Steve Haupert says at 8:56pm Friday, two deputies arrested 32 year-old Alan Randolf Haywood of Perry for driving with a suspended license and trespassing on private property. The charges stem from several calls about a suspicious truck that Haywood had parked at the intersection of First and Percival streets in Rippey.

Haupert notes that the deputies were also looking for a female who was with Haywood, but didn’t locate her at that time.

Then about eight hours later, around 5am Saturday, a deputy responded to a call about the same female trying to enter a home in the 200 block of 3rd Street in Rippey without consent. The deputy found her and arrested 37 year-old Melisa Marie Kroupa of Granger. Haupert adds that she also tried to climb into a parked vehicle at the Sparky’s One Stop gas station in Rippey earlier. Kroupa is charged with a Class D Felony for second degree attempted burglary, an aggravated misdemeanor for third degree burglary of a motor vehicle and a simple misdemeanor for interference with official acts.
