Linda Grant of Adel was traveling north on Highway 169 and slowing down to turn east onto Overton Circle when the vehicle behind her driven by Sherri Hymbaugh of Mount Ayr failed to stop within a safe and sure distance striking the rear of Grant’s vehicle. Grant was taken to Methodist Hospital by Dallas County EMS. Hymbaugh was checked out and released. Damage to Grant’s vehicle estimated at $10,000.00 and $5000.00 to Hymbaugh’s. Hymbaugh was cited for failure to stop within safe and sure distance.
Roberto Ochoa, age 36 of 1715 Pattee St., Perry was arrested in the 21000 block of Highway 141, Bouton for driving while barred.

John Golightly Jr, age 37 of 708 Greene St., Adel was arrested at 801 Court St., for possession of drug paraphernalia.
August 30, 2016
Raife Hunter Kubal, age 21 of 620 S 8th St., Adel was arrested on a warrant for probation violation-original charge of burglary.
Miriam Bello of Perry was traveling east in the 11000 block of Highway 141 when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries reported. Damage to the vehicle estimated at $5000.00
