Today we observe Labor Day and that means several offices and business are also closed today in Jefferson.

The Jefferson City Hall, Jefferson Public Library, Jefferson Post Office, Greene County Courthouse, Greene County Chamber, Greene County Extension and Greene County Community Center are closed.

Library staff reminds everyone that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for a holiday.

Jefferson City staff reminds residents that garbage routes will be delayed one day due to the holiday. Routes will go back to regular schedules next week.  Residents are also reminded to have their garbage at the curbside by 6am to ensure pick up.
