Candidate lists and ballot language for the November 8th general election have been finalized.

Republican incumbent Board of Supervisors Chairman Mark Hanson is being challenged by Democratic candidate Julie Stewart, Republicans Julia Helm and Chad Leonard are running unopposed for Auditor and Sheriff respectively.

Republican incumbent District 20 State Representative Clel Baudler is being challenged by Democrat Scott Heldt, Libertarian Bob Boyle and Ryan M. Ketelsen.  Incumbent Republican District 19 State Representative Ralph Watts faces Democratic candidate Bryce Smith and Republican State Senator Jake Chapman is being challenged by Democrat Matt Paladino.

Additionally, Adel residents will vote on imposing a seven percent local hotel and motel tax and Minburn Residents will weigh in on an ordinance amendment that states there Library Board of Trustees will consist of seven members and have at least one resident member.

The polls will be open from 7am until 9pm on election day.
