Everyone is invited to help write the collaborative poem in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Mahanay Bell Tower in Jefferson.

Jefferson Matters: Main Street Tower View Team is partnering with professional poet David Williamson to construct the poem at 2pm tomorrow at the Greene County Historical Museum. Materials for the poem will be from visitors and community members who shared their ideas and memories of the bell tower.

Following the work session, Williamson will complete the poem in time for next month’s 50-year celebration of the bell tower, during the rededication ceremony.

Sunday’s event is free and open to the public.
