Guthrie County CourthouseAs we reported in April, Guthrie County resident and business owner Randy Sparks complained to the Board of Supervisors about the low quality of the road he lives on, 255th Lane, south of Panora.

Guthrie County Engineer Josh Sebern gave the Board of Supervisors an update on that situation Tuesday. “In getting it repaired for him this spring, like was a agreed to, we hauled a substantial amount of rock to that road. It’s built up now and is quite solid. We weren’t looking to go in and overhaul it, where we scarify all that rock and bring all the dirt on top. That was the original idea this spring, but now we’ve got all that rock on it.”
Sebern estimates the cost of the rock hauled to the dead end road to total into the thousands of dollars.
