A 17 year-old juvenile faces several charges after allegedly assaulting several people at a party early Monday.

According to Perry Police Chief Eric Vaughn, officers were called to the 300 block of Willis Avenue shortly after 3am.  Reports stated an assault occurred and the suspect may have a gun.  When police arrived they found the suspect and several others attempting to leave the scene.  Everyone was detained and upon further investigation and interviews with witnesses they found the juvenile had assaulted three people, along with reportedly threatening people with a weapon.  The suspect did not have possession of the weapon when he was detained but it was later found and seized by officers after being led to its location by a witness.

The victims were treated for minor injuries at the Dallas County Hospital and released.

The juvenile faces thee counts of aggravated assault, one count of carrying a weapon and one count of possession of alcohol under legal age.  He was transported to a juvenile detention facility.

While on scene, officers also took an adult woman into custody after determining she was wanted on a Polk County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of OWI.  She was transported to the Polk County jail.
