Greene County High School homecoming week is next week and one of the highlights is the parade.

The parade will be at 2pm on Friday, September 23rd and any business or organization is encouraged to participate. Student Council Advisor Deb Marquardt is hoping for more community involvement by opening the parade up to local businesses.

“Anything they want to provide is fine. If they have a company car (or) if they just have people from their business walk in the parade, that would be good. We start the parade where the Bell Tower (Festival parade) starts, it’s at the parking lot here by the football field. I’ve been contacted already by a couple of businesses, so they can contact me at the high school.”

Parade lineup is at 1:30pm on that Friday and the route will end by the courthouse, where the homecoming king and queen coronation ceremony will follow.
