The amount of rainfall over the Raccoon River Valley so far this month has differed greatly, depending on which part of the area you are in.

According to the National Weather Service, Perry received 1.42 inches of rain this past week for a total of 1.44 inches so far this month.  Guthrie Center saw 2.66 inches of rain since our last report for a total of more than 3.3 inches of rain in September.

Normal monthly rainfall totals for the first half of September are around 1.7 inches.
