The West Central Valley football team is hoping for a win tonight. That would get their season record back to an even 2-2. While that’s within the realm of possibility, it will be anything but easy, as the Wildcats head to ‘The Jungle’ to do battle with the powerhouse Tigers of Madrid. The power-running Tigers have outscored opponents 121-46 this season, and have the most rushing yards of any team in Class 1A, and the fourth most of any high school team in Iowa, at any level. The Wildcats have a pair of tremendous athletes in scrambling QB Knick Badker, and top receiver Brock Wolfe, who have displayed their ability to make big plays in each game this season. Sophomore Cole Arnburg provides another reliable target for Badker’s arm. Kickoff in Madrid is scheduled for 7 p.m.
