Dallas County voters wanting to avoid lines on election day will be able to request absentee ballots from the Auditor’s office starting next week.

Starting Thursday, September 29^th individuals can vote absentee at the Auditor’s office in Adel during regular office hours, weekdays from 9am until 4:30pm.  They will also be open special Saturday hours on October 29^th and November 5^th from 8am until 5pm.

Absentee ballots can also be sent out via mail but must be requested in writing.  A request form can be found HERE.

All requests need to be received by the Auditor’s office before 5pm November 4^th and returned by November 7^th.
