In an unusual circumstance for ADM athletics the majority of this week will be pretty silent but will all be made up towards the end of this week.
It will take all the way until Thursday before action kicks up as both the ADM cross country teams along with the Lady Tiger volleyball team commence with meet and game action. Starting things off will be the cross country teams taking the drive down to Atlantic to partake in the 14 team field at the Atlantic Golf and Country Club. It will be up to ADM and Winterset to represent the Raccoon River Conference as they are the only two conference teams within Thursday’s meet. The rest of the field will include Atlantic, Sergeant Bluff-Luton, St. Albert Catholic Junior, Glenwood, Harlan, Lewis Central, Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson, Denison-Schleswig, Treynor, Clarinda, Abraham Lincoln, and Creston Community. That invitational will commence at 4:30 pm from the Atlantic Golf & Country Club.
Then at 7:00 pm, the ADM Lady Tiger volleyball team will end their lengthy break by commencing in an old Raccoon River Conference rivalry with former conference member Dallas Center-Grimes. ADM looks for their 17th win of the season as the 10th ranked Lady Tigers will take on the Fillies from DC-G Meadows Gym.
Then to cap off the week, the ADM Tiger football team will seek their third district win and second in a row against the Trojans of Atlantic Friday night. It will be another critical district match up as the Tigers look to stay strong in the district 7 playoff race. That game can be heard on K107.9FM with pregame coverage kicking things off at 7:00 followed by kick off at 7:30.
Late week jam packed action for ADM athletics this week and you can find all the updates, stats, recaps and more on air and online at raccoonvalleyradio.com.
