The Stuart Police Department says while conducting an investigation at West Central Valley High School with their K9 Chloe, Wednesday, they uncovered a controlled substance inside of a student’s locker.

After further investigation, officers located additional controlled substances inside the student’s vehicle, located in the school parking lot. The student faces charges in juvenile court for possession of an illegal substance on school property. Because of their status as a minor, their identity will not be released to the public.

Additionally, the Police Department is addressing community rumors and reassuring the public that no student was ever in danger during their investigation at the school.
