It’s fall, which means deer are beginning to rut and can be spotted all around Guthrie County’s roadways.
Sheriff Marty Arganbright says to watch out for deer, especially during the peak hours of dawn and dusk. “Deer are running now, so any given day you can see a dead deer on the side of the road that’s been hit. You always see skid marks, debris and the dead deer laying there. At night, you can see their eyes in the ditches from the headlights shining into their eyes. If you see eyes, slow down.”
The Sheriff adds to never veer for deer.
