The Guthrie Center City Council met Monday in regular session.
The Council approved a resolution changing the time of their regular meetings to start at 6:30pm instead of 6pm. The Council then reviewed the City’s insurance rates. There will be a 2.2 percent increase for the next fiscal year.
The Council then discussed nuisance properties. The City issues a notice to a resident who is found to have nuisance property and are given two weeks to clean up their property before the City comes in to clean it up for them and charge them from the service.
Finally, the Council toured the new City Hall location where Guthrie County State Bank use to be. City Administrator Laura Imerman said the contractor, Rumelhart Building Company Incorporated of Guthrie Center is remodeling the space. The project is anticipated to be completed this winter.
