It’s National Friends of the Library Week next week and the Jefferson Library is celebrating with a new event tomorrow.

The Chocolate FRIENDzy event is a new event for the organization and member Amy McGinn explains why they wanted to host the new activity.

“We are hoping to draw new membership for the Friends and it’s such a low membership (fee). The library does so many great things for our community, they do a lot for the elementary school. We just wanted to give back to the library but hosting a really fun chocolate tasting event.”

The come and go event features various chocolate treats and you can have recipes to make them at home. It is only for Friends members, and the $5 memberships will be available at the door.

It takes place on Saturday from 9am to 1pm at the library.
