A new business could be located in the former Ben Franklin building in Jefferson.
New Hope is a non-profit organization and are looking to establish their fifth location in Jefferson.
New Hope’s governing board is expected to make a decision on the project in the near future. Director of Development Jodie Jansen says the plans look good for them to locate in Jefferson.
“The future plans for a Bargain Shoppe in Jefferson look to be very optimistic. The funds raised through New Hope Bargain Shoppe’s play a very important and vital role in providing high quality services to the individuals we serve. Donated items and dedicated volunteers are the key to our success. “
The Carroll-based company employs over 400 people and has served individuals and their families in the Jefferson area since 1977.
Former Ben Franklin Owners Bob and Lori Smith closed the variety store October 1st. They had owned the businesses since 1999 and have since chosen to focus on TechZone, located just south of Ben Franklin.
