Guthrie County residents are reminded that absentee ballots are now available for the November 8th general election.
Auditor Jerri Christman says before an absentee ballot can be mailed to you, you must first fill out a request form, which can be found by clicking HERE. Once you fill out the request form and mail it to her office in Guthrie Center, an absentee ballot will then be mailed to you. All absentees must be postmarked back to the Auditor’s office by November 7th to be eligible for the election. You can also vote absentee at the Auditor’s office during normal business hours from 8am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
The Auditor’s office will also be open two Saturdays prior to November 8th. They will be open on October 29th from 8am to 5pm and November 5th from 9am to 5pm.
About 200 absentee ballots were mailed out by the Auditor’s office on Tuesday alone.
Anyone with questions can call 641-747-3619 or stop by the Auditor’s office in Guthrie Center.
