Regional volleyball action commences today for the ACGC Lady Charger volleyball team.

In their first year as ACGC the Lady Chargers have gone 15-11 overall and will be on the road against IKM-Manning tonight in first round regional action. ACGC is 7-1 in their last 8 match ups and they look to keep that momentum rolling against the Lady Wolves and they will need to play great defense to come out with a win.

Raccoon Valley Radio spoke with ACGC head volleyball coach John Jones on the biggest focus for his team facing off against IKM-Manning tonight.

“We’re going to have to play good defense because they’ve got a couple hitters that just pound the ball. That’s where it starts, you get that first pass and then try for their holes and if we can do that and we can play with them, then our chances are good. But when your analyzing this yesterday you can control your side of the net and if you can do that and get through their block you have a chance,” stated coach Jones.

The Lady Chargers will commence with their match up against IKM-Manning in Manning beginning at 7:00 pm tonight.
