1020194_web_habitat-for-humanity-new-logoNow that the project season has come to a close in Guthrie County, Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity is looking for projects for next year.

Associate Director Jeff Lamoureux says applications are available now on their website to be considered for next year in Guthrie County.

“Just to let people know that with the Helping Hands program that we’re looking to do in 2017, that’s owner-occupied homes and generally exterior repairs.”

He explains the process of how they decide on what projects to do for the following year.

“Our Families Program Committee which is made up of volunteers from Guthrie County (and) they’ll look over the applications that we have and that they’ve gathered. I’ll provide information. We’ll start planning and try to make those decisions early in 2017 in January and February.”

He encourages anyone to apply and hopes to have several applicants to choose from for next year’s projects.
