Adults and children will learn how to make some homemade gifts ahead of the holidays this weekend when the Dallas County Conservation Board and ISU Extension pair up for the Healthy Gifts from the Kitchen program.
Museum Curator Pete Malmberg says Mary Krisco always provides quality programs.
Attendees will make their own “Friendship Soup Mix” and package it attractively in a mason jar for holiday gift giving. They will also be able to sample healthy hot cocoa, discuss other recipe ideas and take home tips to fie something special to those in your life this season.
It takes place at the Forest Park Museum Sunday at 1:30pm. The cost is $10 for an adult, with the first child under the age of 8 attending for free. Additional children are $5 each. Registration is recommended by the end of the day tomorrow.
