It was a dry week here in the Raccoon River Valley and the area is well behind normal precipitation levels for this time of year.
According to the National Weather Service, a trace amount of rain fell over Guthrie Center this past week, while Perry had none. Both areas have received 0.8 inch of rain so far this month, which is less than half the normal amount of between 1.6 and 1.8 inches.
There’s no rain in the immediate forecast.
