The next Greene County town hall meeting is scheduled for next week.

The town hall meetings are an opportunity for the public to find out about the different development projects and updates from organizations in the county.

Economic Development Director Ken Paxton will lead off the meeting talking about the results from the Greene County Workforce Housing study, developments of a downtown retail community and new community development projects to attract new employees and potential residents.

Other speakers include Mid-American Energy’s Matt Ott to present on their new wind turbine project in Greene and Boone counties, Jefferson City Administrator Mike Palmer will give an update on the $1 million Community Development Block Grant, Greene County Schools Superintendent Tim Christensen will talk about school-related activities as well as the bond referendum and when it could come back in front of voters and then there will be an update from the Greene County Chamber as far as upcoming events during the fall and holiday seasons. The meeting will end with a question and answer session with the public.

The meeting will be at 6pm on Monday, October 24th at the Greene County Community Center.
