Greene County High School students are preparing for tomorrow’s Iowa High School Music Association’s All-State auditions.
Band Director Wes Anderson says four students are trying out this year for all-state. Two are returning all-state qualifiers from last year, seniors Emily Heupel on oboe and Noah Von Stein on bass clarinet. The other two students are sophomores Linsey Kitt on flute and Jordan Davis on saxophone.
Vocal Director David Heupel has 14 students auditioning this year. Senior Michael Kennedy is hoping to qualify for all-state for a third year. He made it his sophomore and junior years. Fellow senior Nadia Fisher is looking to make it a second year. She last went her sophomore year and was an alternate her freshman year. There are five additional seniors, three juniors and sophomores and one freshman also participating. A full list of the students can be found below.
