The Spencer Municipal Golf Course was the site of a Class 3A State Qualifying Cross-Country meet on Thursday. No Greene County athletes qualified for the State Meet, which will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29 north of Ft. Dodge at Kennedy Park. The Greene County girls were ninth among 12 teams with 257 points, while the Rams only entered three boys, which is two below the minimum for a team score.

Senior Olivia Hansen led the Rams with a 22nd place finish in 21:03.21. The top 15 individuals and top three teams qualified for State. Freshman Bailey Cunningham was 41st in 22:11.90, with freshman Ashlee Harmeyer 51st in 22:54.53, freshmen Izzy Bravard 70th in 24:49.64, and junior Regan Lamoureux 73rd in 25:25.54. There were 81 girls in the field.

The three Greene County boys were Nick Killion, who was 74th in 19:41.52. Brian Hardaway was 77th in 20:15.09, and Jacob Hueser was 80th among 80 runners in 28:17.61.
