The West Central Valley School Board met in regular session Wednesday.
At the meeting the Board accepted the retirement of Elementary Principal and Curriculum Director Sharon Sloss, effective June 30th, a professional services agreement with Carol Forshier to serve as a teacher and librarian was approved, as was the hiring of Julia Cave as a middle school paraeducator and Nicole Dillinger as the FAST Testing Coordinator.
An amendment to the District’s Academic Eligibility Police was then approved and the Board heard an update from Activity Director David Doely in regards to repair projects, schedule progress and programs.
Superintendent Dr. David Arnold shared the enrollment figures with the Board. He says they are certifying at 899 students, which is down 18 from last year.
A leadership team workshop was set for December 7th, the purchase of a 2018 Thomas C2 65 passenger school bus was approved in the amount of $85,488, as was a product agreement with Coca-Cola.
