It was the season finale for the ADM Tigers Friday night as they would end their 2016 campaign at home in the comforts of Tiger stadium taking on the Glenwood Rams.

ADM attempted to thwart the playoff hopes for the Rams who came into the match up with a 6-2 overall and 4-2 district record and looking for one of two coveted at large playoff bids. The Tigers would fight hard and claw their way through the game but in the end, the Glenwood rushing attack proved to be too much for ADM to handle as the Rams would defeat the Tigers 44-14.

The rushing attack proved all that Glenwood would need as out of the 362 total offensive yards, the Rams totaled 260 of those on the ground to the tune of over 71% of the total offense. Meanwhile the ADM offense struggled compared to a normal outing earning just 210 yards of total offense while missing out on all 10 of their third down conversion opportunities.

The action got kicked off early as with 6:38 left in the first quarter, Glenwood would drive the length of the field to score on a 33 yard touchdown throw from Kolten Wildwerding to Mavrick Decker to start the scoring at 7-0 Glenwood. ADM would answer the Glenwood score with one of their own on the very next drive capped off by a 20 yard touchdown toss from quarterback Sam McCartney to Jacob West; the extra point would be blocked leaving the Tigers down by one point late in the first 7-6.  From there it would be all Glenwood taking the next four scores. The Rams would score in the final two seconds of the first quarter to go up by a two score lead 14-6 while proceeding to take two more scores in the second quarter to end the half with  29-6 advantage.

The Rams would start the second half with the ball and would take their time earning their fifth score of the game with 9:14 left in the third quarter on a 15 yard touchdown run from quarterback Kolton Wildwerding increasing the lead now 37-6. After an ADM turnover the Rams would earn their sixth and final score to start the fourth quarter on a one yard touchdown run by Jon Stavas to pad onto their lead now 44-6.

The Tigers continued to show some fight as they marched down the field and with 3:40 left in the game, came away with one final score in 2016 connecting on a 12 yard touchdown pass from Sam McCartney to Cole Knoll and with the added two point conversion cut the lead down to 44-16. Unfortunately for the Tigers, that is the score that the game would end with which means the 2016 Tiger football team ends their year and 18 seniors end their ADM football careers with a 3-6 overall and 3-4 inside district 7 play.
